The Braun A 4861 / ABK 30 wall clock, designed in the early 1980s, is a precise and understated timekeeper that reflects the design principles of Dietrich Lubs and Dieter Rams. Its dark brown housing, clean sans-serif numerals, are iconic and form a visual language that is both utilitarian and timeless. With a 20 cm diameter, this quartz-powered wall clock was originally intended for institutional and office environments, yet today it stands as a modernist design object in its own right. This example is in excellent condition, fully functional, and retains its original high-contrast face and casing with only minimal signs of wear. A definitive piece from Braun’s golden era of product design—silent, sharp, and always on time.
